Established in August 2014, we are a Mediterranean themed restaurant with Italian influences and also a Traditional touch so there is something to suit every pallet and taste. Our wide selection of Wines and Craft Beers can be had over dinner or as an after dinner drink from the comfort of our lounge area.
Staff were amazing, quick service, starter bruschetta was ok, however had the muscles for mains, and they were very average, came out in a cold bowel, with very little soup, soup in fact was water with salt, a dash of parsley disguised as a white wine sauce on the menu.. Hint to the chef... cook them in butter, garlic,, lashings of cream, some chilli, and a generous helping of white wine, you can’t go wrong and don’t need any salt!! Advice to the owner.. take pride in your food, as you are getting very average reviews recently
Food was nice, helpful team working there, however the social distancing needs a bit of work. Tables are very close together. I could easily have touched the table to my right without much effort it was that close. That stuff has to be prioritised be these days guys.
Stayed in a hotel around the corner and after seeing the disappointing menu there, decided to find out at 8 pm if Fifty50 could accommodate us. The gentleman at the door could not be nicer when he told us to come back in 30 mins. We went back and enjoyed every second of the busy restaurant. Friendly waiting staff, a full menu, and absolutely beautiful food! Reasonably priced, an absolute wonderful evening was had. Although we only stayed 1 and a half hour we never felt rushed and the staff could not do enough for us. Highly recommended! The stuffed garlic mushrooms is a MUST when you visit! Well done guys, we will certainly be back if we ever come to Ashbourne again!
August 2020 Lovely food and great staff and great gluten free menu. Staff are all wearing masks but I felt the tables were slightly too close in some spots when the restaurant is full to really feel comfortable with Covid measures. Some tables shouldn't be allowed to be sat at when the neighbouring one is occupied.
